LIVE OAK: Gurjit Gosal, son of Piara Singh Gosal and Kulwant Kaur Gosal, graduated from Live Oak High School with highest Honors. He maintained a 3.98 grade point average and was ranked at the top of his class.
Gurjit was awarded the Presidential Academic Fitness Award and a Bank of America Award for mathematics. He was also awarded the Jerry Marumoto Memorial Scholarship which is given to students who excel in Science.
Gurjit has been involved in many activities and organizations. He was a life member of the California Scholarship Federation, Future Farmers of America, and Academic Excellence Club. In addition to his academic success, Gurjit was also an active member on the high school varsity basketball and tennis team. He is also a member of a Gurdwara Sahib basketball team-Khalsa Sports Club.
Gurjit will be attending Chico State University. From there he plans to go onto medical school and pursue a degree in the medical field, but for the time being, he is helping his father on the farm.
Gurjit would also like to wish his cousin, Harmanjit Singh Gosal who was involved in an accident, a quick recovery.
