HAMILTON: The 20th Anniversary of the Gurdwara Sahib of Sikh Sangat Hamilton (Hamilton Wentworth) was celebrated from April 12-19,1992. On April 12,1992, about one thousand Sikhs participated in the Bhog ceremony of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. After this, in the presence of Panj Piras Gurdwara Kesri Nishan Sahib was hosted.

Bhai Harpal Singh Ji Hazoori Ragis Jatha and the Gurdwara) Sahib in service, Head Granthi, Bhai Amarjit Singh Deol, and Bibi Rupinder Kaur participated in the Shabad Kirtan.

Bhai Joga Singh, the Secretary of the Gurdwara Sahib thanked the Sikh Sangat and the Babar Khalsa of Montreal who very kindly graced the occasion with their presence.

The Dhadhi Jatha of Bhai Chamkor Singh narrated the whole Parsang in the form of Khalsa Panth by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji,

The President of the Gurdwara Sahib Bhai Gurdip Singh in his short speech thanked the Sikh Congregation and stressed to follow the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji,

Sardar S.S, Pooni & S. Resham Singh Dhindsa in their speeches nanaked the innocent killings of the Sikhs in Punjab by the Indian Govt. Both fear that the worst thing is like to occur to disfigure the Punjab situation.

S.Gurdial Singh Deol former President of the Gurdwara and Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Gurdwara Sahib while thanking the Sikh Sangat, made an appeal for constructing a New Building of the Gurdwara which was highly responded with “Bole So Nihal-” Sat Sri Akal and Sangat gave their decision.

At this grand celebration, a booklet giving the 20 years hiss tory of the Gurdwara was distributed.

In the Amrit Sanchar 25 Sikhs were baptized on April 18, 1992. The message sent from the World Sikh Orgn., U.S.A., from the Washington D.C. office by Lachman Singh Aujla on this 20th Anniversary, was read out in the Diwan, ;
