NEW DELHI, Dec. 27, Reuter: Four of a Sikh family were shot dead and another wounded by unknown gunmen in Punjab, the Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency reported.
Jagjeet Singh, his wife, and a relative were killed as they slept last night at Jabosudhar village in Kapurthala district. Another son is in serious condition in hospital.
Nearly 700 people been killed in Punjab this year in an campaign for an independent Sikh state.
