CHANDIGARH, INDIA, Oct 22, Reuter: A group of gunmen killed 10 laborers who apparently were illegally distilling alcohol, police in the North Indian State of Punjab said on Saturday.

They said four or five gunmen burst into a hut in Ferozepur district on Friday night, dragged out those inside and shot them with Chinese-made AK-47 automatic rifles.

The victims, both Sikhs and Hindus, had apparently been using the hut as an illegal still, police said.
