RAJKOT: The fresh bout of vio license in Ahmedabad in which two persons were killed and scored injured is of a different kind, matching the style of the early days in Punjab Gujarat Chief Minister Chimanbhai Patel said here on Jan.31.
Talking to reporters at Mahila College here, Patel said, unlike Weapons like draggers and crude bomb, the militants in the last two days have used hand grenades, a deadly weapon.
Preliminary investigations had revealed that the hand grenades used in the attacks were foreign made. The Police and explosive experts have been sent to Delhi for further details he said. As many as 140 suspected people have been arrested during the past two days and a special squad Jed by Additional Director General of Police S.N. Sinha is investigating the episode, he added.
