JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 28: Reuter: A grenade exploded at the entrance to a multiracial night club near Johannesburg early today injuring three people, the government reported.
The blast seriously injured a white man and slightly hurt a white woman and coloured woman at the club in Eden Park, a coloured (mixed race) suburb, the government’s bureau for information said.
The Bureau, the only official source of news on racial’ unrest, said a black man was burned to depth in a house set on fire by arsonists in Kagiso town shop west of Johannesburg.
In another township, security forces used tear gas to dispose a crowd stoning their vehicle, it said. ‘Three men were arrested.
The burned body of an unknown black man was discovered in Kwanabuhle Township, in the Eastern Cape.
