On the night of May 12 Lala’s unit of freedom fighters was ambushed by the Indian police on a tip by an informer. During the battle he was injured badly but escaped and was able to cover a long distance Bleeding wounds made it harder for him to continue the escape realizing the reality he asked his fellow Sikhs to continue their escape. With love of Wahe guru (God) and words of Guru he attained his Shahidi (Martyrdom) and cut short his worldly life with sweet pill of cyanide rather than go through a tortuous killing by the occupying Indian police force’s interrogation system. The Jackals of Indian Army and police did not dare to reach his body they waited all night while surrounding the battle zone. The Indian Brahman dominated police refused to give his dead body to his family and his nation and saskar ( cremation) of his body was done by the police at the Police fort in Phillaur. During Dharam Yudh Morcha he had a chance to meet Sant Bhindranwale along with Shaid Satpal Singh Dhillon and joined Khalistan Commando Force (KCF). He served his nation while working with Bhai Manbir Singh Chahapu general Labh Singh Bhai Kanwar Jit Singh Sultanwind and Bhai Paramjit Singh Panjwar great general of past and present era of Khalistan war. He suffered a long time in Indian prisons and rejoined the war after he was out of jail. He tried to serve the Sikh nation in a peaceful and secretive way but informers and police forced him to raise his rifle again and left his home for good. During this period he took care of informers and police butchers that included Tirth Ram of Bara village Satmam Singh member S.GP.C and many boys and soldiers of Indian police and army. He introduced many young men to this noble cause; Shahid (Martyr) Bhai Sher Singh Sher Shabid Hari Singh Baba Shahid Satpal Singh Dhillon Shabid Surinder Singh Sodhi Shahib Manjit Singh Shahid Ranjit Singh Bittu alias Sham Sunder Sharma we few of them who laid their lives to free their people from the bond of Hindu govt’s cunning Raj.
Bhai Harminder Singh Lala was born in 1952 in Dalewal a village in Jallundur district in Khalistan which has given many Sikh freedom fighters in the ultimate Khalistan war. Martyr Bhai Satpal Singh Dhillon general secretary Sikh Student Federation belonged to this village also Lala was he called because he was healthy and of a very fair color. He excelled in Kabbadi a native Punjabi team game and he was famous player in his district and in Punjab.
In time name Lala become a word of fear for his enemies. Sardar Gurdev Singh and Sardarni Ajit Kaur were his parents and he had three brothers and three sisters. His mother’s died during the birth of his younger brother and he missed having a mother’s love and care
He is survived by his wife Sardarni Harbans Kaur one son and two daughters and his Sikh nation fighting for its identity. His personal family and larger Sikh family continue to suffer and fight for their Khalistan “Home of Free and Equals.”
P.S Bhai Ranjit Singh Bittualias Sham Sunder Sharma s/o Prem Nath Shastri village Jagatpur was born in a Hindu family and baptized later to be a Sikh to fight for Right and attained martyrdom few days before Bhai Shaib; Right people from other religions always joined Sikhs to fight for right cause-from the very beginning of Sikh nation.
