NANDYAL: “Give me stability, I will give you prosperity,” Prime Minister Narasimha Rao told a large gathering in his Nandyal parliamentary constituency.

Obviously keeping the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in mind, Mr. Narasimha Rao said stability was essential for develop many of the nation, “We have to complete the unfinished task of making India an*economic giant,” the Prime Minister declared while inaugurating the newly converted broad gauge section between Giddalur and Nandyal stations of South Central Railway.

Mr, Rao emphasized that unigauge railway lines were to the nation what blood vessels were to the body, “A sound network of railways is essential for a healthy nation,” he underlined. ‘The Prime Minister cautioned against Overdependence on a single line linking north and south which may throw life out of gear in events of disruption. “A parallel line will be ensured via ‘Rajasthan, Gujarat, Marathwada, Bangalore, Malabar and Kanya kumari,” he assured, Mr. Narasimha Rao said trains will be put for development of the country even in inaccessible areas and even the Himalayas will be covered including Kashmir, In this context, he Stressed that causes of unrest in any regions needed to be examined in detail. “We should go to the root of the problem so that they are solved ‘once and for all.” he stated.
