MALDA: The leader of the pro-Hindu Bharatiya Janata Party Lal Krishna Advani on Sunday alleged that so-called recent moves of the Congress-I to pull down the Chandra Shekhar government were “aimed at forming at least a caretaker ministry to serve its limited political interests during the Lok Sabha poll.”

Addressing a press conference here Advani said the Chandra Shekhar government might have got a brief lease of life “but I think this session of Parliament may be the last for it.”

He said that since the last one month the Congress-I had been trying to dislodge the Janata Dal (S) government to form its own ministry according to the party’s original game plan.

As it failed to muster the required majority the party had deferred the plan but had not given it up altogether the BJP leader alleged.
