ISLAMABAD: A fresh inquiry has been ordered into the controversial air crash which claimed among others. The liven of the then president Gen Zia Ul Haq and the American ambassador at Bahawalpur on August 17, 1988. The crash has left many questions unexplained and the late president’s family members have been demanding that a fresh inquiry be ordered to unearth the mystery. His son Mr Ezaz ul Haq is a federal minister.
The Prime Minister Mr Nawaz Sharif has appointed the federal interior minister Mr Shujaat Hussain chairman of the committee which will inquire into the incident. The other members are the federal interior secretary the heads of the intelligence organizations and Punjab interior ministry officials.
