CHANDIGARH: A CPI activist and a Sikh Freedom Fighter were among the five who died during the last weekend. Three gunmen illage Makhir District Ferozepur. Some unidentified persons shot dead one Joginder Singh of Wadals Johal District Amritsar. A CPI activist Manjit Singh was killed at Failabad of Gurdaspur district. One freedom fighter Bhai Karam Singh Bhaoo was killed by the police in a fake encounter near Abohar. The police also claimed to have arrested three Sikh youngmen including S. Balwant Singh and S. Gumam Singh.
