Chandigarh, (PTI): Four militants have been killed in separate encounters with security forces and three suspected militants arrested in northern Indian state of Punjab.
Balwinder Singh alias Kiri alias Rocket, a militant, was killed in an encounter with police near Narwana village, in Gurdaspur district. A .303 bore rifle and three carlidges were recovered from the spot.
Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter near Chak Michal village. Police seized their car, one .32 bore revolver and seven cartridges from the place of encounter.
One unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with security forces near village Talwandi Chaudhrian under Sultanpur Lodhi police station. A revolver and some cartridges were recovered from the militant.
