Amritsar — Former Punjab Congress (1) President Raghunandan Lal Bhatia was seriously wounded Friday and another one sitting near him was killed when unknown assailants entered his house and fired from close range. Mr. Bhatia was recently appointed Secretary of All India Congress (I) committee and Santokh Singh Randhawa, a former Minister, was appointed in his place as President PPCC in a bid to give a new image to the Punjab Congress (I).
Mr. Bhatia was immediately rushed to the hospital where his condition continues to be serious.
