LUCKNOW (PTI): Flood situation in the North Indian Uttar Pradesh state continued to be grim as reports of more deaths and fresh floods in the Ganges submerging the Allahabad and Varanasi sub divisions came in.

In Banda, the worst affected district, the flood situation turned for the better as the water level of river Ken was falling down.

Five more deaths were reported from the state taking the toll in the state this rainy season to 152.
