LONDON: “Khalistan government-in-exile is deeply distressed at the havoc throughts on our brotherly neighbor, Pakistan, by the recent floods, killing thousands, rendering hundreds of thousands homeless, and destroying billions of pounds worth of property.
Cash, blankets, medicines and warm clothing are urgently needed for our flood-stricken brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
Besides the fact that coming to the help of those afflicted with misfortunes without distinction of caste, creed, ethnicity or nationality is an essential feature of Sikh character, historical ties give a special place to Pakistan and its people.
Not only is Pakistan special to us. because it is our next-door neighbor, it was also the homeland of the founder of the Sikh faith, Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and many of his close friends like Baba Farid_ Shakar Ganj (whose verses are included in our holy scripture, Guru Granth Sahib), Baba Mardana and many other Muslim saints and mystics and of Baba Mianmir Sahib, who laid the foundation-stone of the holiest of our shrines, Harminder Sahib at Amritsar, many Muslims from this region of the sub-continent fought shoulder-to-shoulder with Sikhs in their struggle against tyranny through the ages. ,
Above all, the people of Pakistan have always supported us at the hour of need, even when political exigencies prevented their politicians and statesman from doing so.
It is, therefore, the religious and moral duty of the Sikhs to do all they can to alienate the sufferings of our Pakistani brothers and sisters at this hour of need.
Khalistani-Government-in-exile urges the Sikh brothers and sisters to donate generously to this fund.
Please give all you can, either through your local gurdwaras or directly to: Khalistan Government In-exile,
