PUNE,(PTI): Five persons were killed and one was injured when an explosive went off in a house at Vagholi Kesan and a Phata, on Pune-Ahmed nagar road, in the western Indian coastal state of Maharashtra, police said.
The injured has been admitted to the Sasoon general hospital here, police added.
One of the deceased was identified as Vitthal Rambhau Satav, son of the house owner, The other four could be Satav’s tenants and were yet to be identified, police said. The device belonged to one of the tenants, who hailed from Rajasthan and was engaged in the profession of boring wells.
