SELMA, CA: Inspired by growing demand by Sikh masses hurt by divisive internal bickering, a new Origination FSACC will attempt to consolidate efforts by various Sikh institution, in central California to present cultural and religious identity of Sikhs“ professionally and financially we have grown satisfactorily, but as a distinct nation we have failed to present our image in its true sense,” says ‘activist Dr. Mohinder Singh Poonia, “thus leaving several misconceptions among Westerners about our religious dictates.” He feels that propaganda by hostile countries against Sikhs was not confronted well due to lack of cohesion. : First accomplishment of FSACC is to siage Vaisakhi celebrations jointly with participation office regional gurdwaras on April 14th, this year’s function will start with Nagar Kirtan at Selma Gurdwara. Future festivals will be hosted at other gurdwaras based in San Joaquin, Caruthers and Fresno.

Stream living and enforcing religious practices according to dictates of Guru Granth Sahib at Sikh institutions under its jurisdiction, will be the priority of this organization, Due to lack of such directions, every Gurdwara has established its own pattern regarding how to conduct practices. “As a result gurdwara goers get confused about what is right or what is wrong, hurting their faith,” says M.V. Pashaura Singh Dhillon secretary of Selma.

For the time being, two members from each Gurdwara and three ‘additional members at large constitute the working committee of FSACC. It held its monthly meetings at Caruthers on March 31st.
