NEW DELHI (PTI): India proposes to sign extradition treaties with France and Germany like the one signed with Britain to curb militants supporting activities in this country home minister S.B.Chavan said on Oct.19
Chavan told PTI that “we are even thinking of revising the treaty with Canada and discussions are on as to what type of modifications is required”
He said the idea in signing the treaty was to cover the European community as a whole. France and Germany he said had liberal policy on granting of Asylum.
Chavan said every country in one way of the other was affected by terrorism and the problem should be treated as a whole.
He said the signing of the extradition treaty with Britain would help in containing the activities of terrorists in India.
