AYODHYA: A large quantity of explosives was recovered along with 44 local made bombs in the Niyawan locality in the Kotwall police station area recently. Later, three persons were arrested in this connection.
The bombs were carefully in a cremation ground (kabristan) close to the national highway.
According to SSP Harbhajan Singh, the modus operandi seemed to be to make money by supplying bombs to antisocial elements and create panic in public. Three persons Mohammed Hanif, Noor Mohammed and Mohammed, Imran were booked under TADA and five others named in the case were absconding.
The matter came to light after a bomb blast in the locality in which a young man, Taj Mohammed, was injured, when a bomb went off accidentally during manufacturing.
