KANPUR: The dacoit-infested Chambal valley and Bundelkhand areas on UPMP order are likely to become breeding ground of Hindu terrorism. Bandit chief Madho Singh, who had surrendered his arms in 1972 and turned a “sadhu”, recently broke out of a makeshift jail in Kanpur, and is reportedly touring the traditional badlands of central India to mobilize outlaws and motivate them to tum their guns against opponents of Rama temple in Ayodhya. It is an open secret that he was freed by the govt.

Madho Singh, who carried an award of Rs. 1.5 lakh on his head when he laid down his arms to Jaya Prakash Narayan in 1972 had of late donned saffron clothes of a sanyasi. Realising that Madho Singh or Baba Ram Dasas he is now called meant trouble, a criminal case against the dacoittumed Sadhu has be lately been registered against him on the complaint of the jailor, MrS.K Singh. The dreaded bandit chief who eluded U.P. and MP. Police and committed hundreds of kidnappings, murders and dacoities during his 196472 reign of terror, has once again been declared “absconder” by UP police.
