Karachi, Reuter: England were struggling to save the third and final cricket test against Pakistan on the fourth day on Sunday,

They were 96 for four in their second innings at tea, only 37 rounds ahead. Pakistan, resuming at 345 for eight, were all out for 353 earlier in the day to lead by 59 on first innings.

Opener Graham Gooch, 48 not out, was fighting to hold together the England second innings.

After Chris Broad was LBW to leg spinner Abdul Qadir’s flipper before lunch, England lost Bill Athey and Mike Gating early in the afernoon session, both falling to Salim Jaffer in the space OF five balls.
