OTTAWA: During an interview with the CBC, Prime Minister Kim Campbell almost continued the date for Canadian federal elections INS slow take. By law, election campaigns area minimum of47 days, and an election on Oct.25 means that Campbell has to call elections officially by the midnight of Wednesday. Campbell’s opponents Liberal leader Jean Chretian and Blocc Quebecors Chret Lucien Bouchard admitted to some difficulties in dealing with Canada’s first woman Prime Minister.
