NEW DELHL, Jan 17, Reuter: A school roof collapsed in the North City of Gurdaspur on Tuesday, killing at least eight girls and injuring 14, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
The agency said authorities in the Punjab City had ordered are inquiry into the collapse and gave no indication of why the roof fell into a classroom where some 32 girls aged between 12 and 14 were studying.
PTI said six of the injured were in serious condition.
