The situation in Punjab is grave indeed. The fascist Indian regime hell-bent upon destroying Sikh culture and identity has redoubled its efforts. Having tried every means and failed to subdue Sikh youth from holding their heads up in pride of their glorious traditions, Delhi has deployed a third of its two million men army in Punjab.
This army cordons off villages, searches homes and takes away young men nobody has yet been able to determine where. All this while the police, paramilitary and gangs of government sponsored criminals continue to roam the countryside to harass and kill Sikhs. India thinks it has a stranglehold on the Sikh nation. That will soon be proved to be a lie.
The once respected and traditional Akali Dal’s are in what has become typical of them show little or no concern. They are engaged in needless controversies in their petty one-upmanship. Manjit Singh went to the extent of attending the all-party meeting held recently even though he says Khalistan is still a priority.
There are others who have taken it upon themselves to be Mr. Gurcharan Singh Tohras conscience keepers as they will not let go of the fact that Tohra got himself reelected SGPC president despite promises not to do so. Tohra also busies himself with countering these charges. That is convenient.
And that is what suits the fascist brahmanical scheme of things. Take for instance the BJPs “Ekta Yatra” ostensibly to unite India against secessionism is in truth a covert call to Hindus to come together against the Muslims in Kashmir, the Sikhs in Punjab and all other minorities in general. Riots are expected to follow this unholy “pilgrimage”.
While Sikhs the world over observed December 10 (UN Human Rights Day) as a protest day against the denial of even basic human rights of Sikhs in India, not even a murmur of support was forthcoming from the Alkalis, the so-called leaders of the Sikhs. The abduction, torture, killing of our youth in ever-increasing numbers does not merit any worry on the apart of the Alkalis. They are basically maneuvering to win the election with the attitude let the devil take the hindmost. This blind greed is greatly outweighed by the complete and selfless sacrifice of our youth which has heard the call of our Faith and taken upon their own heads to defend our honor.
