HAMILTON,CANADA: The Sikhs of Hamilton raised $800 for aid to earthquake victims of Marashua. The money was sent to the National Red Cross of Canada for sending to India, The Gur Sikh Sangat Hamilton Wentworth held its special meeting in the premises of the main hall of the Gurdwara which was highly attended by the members of the Sikh community of Burlington, Hamilton, Dundas, Niagara Falls Region, including St.Cathrines and Stoney Creek.

All the members of the Sikh community joined in the prayer to pay homage to the departed souls, which was more than 45 thousand who were killed in the earthquake, In order to help the grieved wounded people including women, men and children relief funds for the victims up to the amount of $800/ was raised and this amount has been sent to the National Red Gross of Canada. The Director of the National Red Cross Canada has been requested to place the above funds to the earthquake relief appropriate authorities in India.
