CHANDIGARH: A Deputy Superintendent of Police and eight other personnel of the Punjab Police are being arrested for the alleged kidnappings of seven members of a family belonging to a village near Baba Bakala:
The seven, who were allegedly kidnapped three years ago, are still untraced; they are feared and killed, though their bodies have not been recovered. According to information reaching here, KVS Tulsi, Additional Solicitor General, who appeared for the police, made the starting admission before the division bench of the Supreme Court that the allegations of kidnapping against DSP Balder Singh and others had been found to be correct by an inquiry by the Crime Branch of the police A case of kidnapping had already been registered against the accused policemen. He said that the DGP, KPS Gill had given directions for the arrest of the accused alters which the charge sheet against them will be filed.
