Dr PARVINDER SINGH WADHWA was born in Lyalpur, now in Pakistan. His father S. Manmohan Singh retired from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, government of India. Dr. Wadhwa received his M.B.BS. Degree from Government Medical College Rohtak in 1969. He did his residency in Internal Medicine from Bergan Pine Hospital, New Jersey. He did his fellowship in Cardiology at Einstein Hospital, Bronx and Baylore College, Texas. His father S. Manmohan Singh a much respected personality of the Sikh community migrated to U.S.A. in 1980 and he is one of distinguished Sikhs now serving the community in L.A. area. Dr. Wadhwa was married to Dr, Jaswinder Wadhwa in 1973. Dr. Jaswinder Kaur did her M.B.B.S. degree from Maulana Azad College, New Delhi. She did her residency and fellowship in Psychiatry from Cedar Medical Center, Los Angeles. At the moment Mrs. ‘Wadhwa has a private practice in psychiatry in Anaheim, L.A. area. Wadhwas are very popular figures. They always take keen interest in the Sikh activities of the area. They are highly respected in the social, religious and political circles of the Sikh community.
