AMRITSAR: The Union Civil Supplies Minister, Buta Singh, who has been served a show-cause notice by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee for allegedly creating indiscipline in the party, said, here, that his differences with the Punjab Chief Minister, Beant Singh, had been sorted out.

Addressing media persons briefly during his visit to the holy city to pay obeisance at holy shrines, he said that he had talked to Beant Singh before taking the oath of office as minister at the instance of the Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao, and ironed out the differences. He said that Beant Singh had told him that the show cause notice issued to Buta Singh was a result of some “misunderstanding.”

He said that he, on his part, had assured Narasimha Rao, that he would stop making any statements against Beant Singh.
