CHANDIGARH: The search for the two abducted relatives of D.S Mangat a top police official in Punjab continued unsuccessfully.

Four car borne militants had Saturday picked up Rajinder Singh brother in law of Mangat and his son Shamsher Singh, a lawyer.

The militants are reported to have told the other members of the family at the time of the kidnaping that the two would be freed after the police released four of their men.

Police is baffled that there is neither a note from any militant group, nor are the names of the four men the militants want freed been conveyed,

The only thing the police has achieved so far is to find the abandoned car used in the incident. As suspected the car was a stolen one and was found near Sirhind. About 20 persons have been rounded up for questioning and a dog squad is being used.
