ROPAR: B.C. Rajput, Additional Judge, designated TADA court, has directed the Director General of Police, Punjab (DGP) to make sure the arrest of Prem Singh Chandumajra, an Akali MP from Patiala and a proclaimed offender, by executing the warrant of arrest issued by this court, in a case registered against him by the Anandpur Sahib police of this district under Section 124A, 153A 505 (of the Indian Penal Code, 3/4 Sections of TADA and Section 13 of Unlawful Activities Act, 1967. Due to the non-execution of warrant of arrest, the Akali MP, who was declared a proclaimed offender several months ago, in an ordinary process by the police, the court has to direct the DGP Punjab to ensure the execution of arrest warrants of Prem Singh Chandumajra till September 23, 1996 which is also a next date of hearing in this case. It may be mentioned here that though Chandumajra is a proclaimed offender but the state has provided him with fool proof security. The land attachment of the accused was put on record of the court last week by the prosecution as had already been ordered by the court, during the past proceedings and now the landed property of the proclaimed offenders stands attached. The Anandpur Sahib police registered the cast against Chandumajra along with Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Mohkam Singh of Akali Dal (Babbar), Sucha Singh Chottepur, Kuldip Singh Wadala, Sukhbir Singh Delhi, Harminder Singh Gill, Jasbir Singh Ghuman and Bapu Tarlok Singh, for delivering allegedly objectionable speeches on the occasion of Holla Mohalla.
