CHANDIGARH: Maj Gen Narinder Singh (retd), Ms Baljit Kaur Gill, Mr Inderjit Singh Jaijee, Dr (Mrs) Sukh jit Kaur Gill, LieutCol Pratap Singh and Mr Ram Narayan Kumar all activists of the Punjab Human Rights Organisation, have strongly condemned their illegal detention at Muktsar on November 1 where they had gone to participate in the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev.
In a joint statement they said that they were detained in a small room at the Mukstar police station and all basic amenities denied to them. No reason was given for their detention. They were subsequently released.
