Dear Editor, Please accept my sincerest gratitude for your having your newspaper publish my Demand for Publication of Corrections letter, which you printed in your January 29, 1993 edition. By so doing, you have given your readership the opportunity to learn the true and correct information regarding the authenticity of Yogi Bhajans holding of the position and title of Siri Singh Sahib of Sikh Dharma.

Sadly to say, your Editorial comments which were printed after my letter simply reflect the lack of journalistic integrity which is so prevalent in your publication, you have chosen to reaffirm a position for which there is no Supporting evidence. In fact you have chosen to reaffirm a position which is contrary to all of the verifiable evidence.

By your having chosen to reaffirm a false position, you have confirmed that your newspaper should not be considered to be a real newspaper at all. Any publication which prints articles with careless. And flagrant disregard for the truth is merely a propaganda instrument containing little more than rumors and unverified, and usually false, information.

Had you bothered to investigate the allegations before you printed them, rather than simply repeating the libelous statements: of your unverified source, you would have found that in 1978 the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee did, in fact, confirm and acknowledge the prior appointment and position of Yogi Bhajan as the Siri Singh Sahib of Sikh Dharma.

It 1s in the public records of the Executive Committee of the Stiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee that on January 21,1978, that it unanimously approved the constitution of the Sikh Youth Federation of Canada. That constitution, as so approved, provides that the Chief Executive of the Sikh Youth Federation of Canada shall be appointed by the Siri Singh Sahib of Sikh Dharma, namely Yogi Bhajan.

Further, on November 13, 1974, in recognition and appreciation of his selfless service and his significant accomplishments in spreading the Sikh Dharma and establishing the order of the Khalsa in the West, Yogi Bhajan was publicly honored at the Akal Takht in Amritsar, On the recommendation of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Siri Singh Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji was bestowed the honor and title of Bhai Sahib of Sikh Dharma.

Therefore, and again, pursuant to Section 48a of the Civil Code of California, demand is hereby made that, within the time limit set by law from the date upon which you are served with this Demand For Publication of Corrections, you publish corrections of information contained in the editorial comments which you published in your January 29, 1993 edition of the World Sikh News, which followed the reprinting of my December 26, 1992 Demand For Publication of Corrections letter.

Your corrections must be published in substantially as conspicuous a manner in your newspaper as was the libelous comments.

Your failure to comply with this demand in a timely fashion will leave my client no alternative but to commence a civil suit against you and your newspaper. Ram Das Singh Khalsa Attorney at Law, Los Angeles, CA

Copies of the WSN article and the letter of Attorney R.D.S.Khalsa have been forwarded to S.G, P.C. for their comments. The same will be published in these columns on their receipt.
