DEMOCRACY IN INDIA:As if Army attack on the Sikhs holiest shrine Golden Temple in 1984 was not enough to create hatred and vengeance — as if “Press Censorship in India and International News” media embargo in Punjab was not enough to breed contempt and distrust — as if disallowance of official and unofficial fact finding parties  from abroad was not enough to produce malevolence — as if  I am position of ban on foreigners into Punjab since 1984, by late Indira Gandhi was not enough to tar and disgrace the fair name of democracy in India; her son Raj iv’s Government has lately armed itself with an Authority to wit hold findings report of any investigation from the public, and to restrict movements of any minority opposition leader to any part of the country, at will, — lest they should apprise themselves of the factual extent of the damages caused to the minority community’s lives and properties (IA 8/15), as result of the communal riots arson, apparently to undermine the basic rights of the public (if there are any), in the guise of “National Security” — so that the public and world be fed with the news that the Government wants them 10 believe and not the facts as they are.

What amazes most is the tragedy that despite all the ethical characteristics of an author active and autocratic regime, India neither ashamed nor tired of pre tending to acclaim itself as the biggest democracy in the world. Is it not one of the biggest lies the world today?
