I agree with Mr. Narendra Singh that no individual should be coerced to adopt religious practices, alien to his faith. However, among Sikhs, Amrit by ‘Khande ki Pablul” is essential part of Sikh’s commitment to his faith and Wahe-guru. How Amrit Sanchar could be divisive, when it is essential for Sikhs salvation in this world? Dr. Dharam is only reminding Sikhs about their rich heritage and a lag in their present day commitment. Historically, the concept of Amrita has been put into practice in temporal matters and concrete results have been achieved by Amrit-dharies in the form of Sikh Raj. Mr. Narendra Singh can read any elementary book on Punjab, he will find copious historical references, it is a fact that Sikhs did rule Punjab, once upon a time; Sikh Raj was established by uprooting the mighty Mughal Empire from the soil of Punjab. This miracle was performed by no other people but Sikhs.

Mr. Narendra Singh can also. Enlighten him by studying revolutionary movements in Europe and Asia. It will be refreshing for him to learn that change in human affairs was always brought by idealist; loonies and crazies in the establishment’s mind, Khalistan will be created by those who are committed to its cause and who are willing to suffer for this ideal. I can assure Mr. Narendra Singh that Sikh state of Khalistan will be 4 spiritual sanctuaries where people like him will find sufficient accommodation without discrimination. After all forefathers of present day Punjabis, Hindus and Muslims alike enjoyed equal freedom during Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s Sikh Raj.

Sincerely,

Gurdial Singh.
