PEEL: A 30-year-old Toronto man has been arrested in the beating death of his girlfriend outside A Malton Sikh temple.
Peel Regional Police found the body of a 30-year-old woman in a ‘pool of blood al the rear of the Si Guru Singh Sabha Temple on Airport Rd. at § a.m. Feb6.
The woman was found by temple staff four meters (13 feet) from a door leading into the back of the building after a man went inside to alert them.
Homicide Insp. Tom Allen said a man was arrested at the science without incident and a weapon seized.
Police have identified the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene and was Sunday night trying to notify relatives before releasing her name.
Gurdev Singh Gill 42 who was attending the Temple for his nephew lap Mohan’s wedding Sunday was shocked by the murder. 1 can’t believe it said Gill.
We were told by the staff here that something had happened and the ceremony had to be delayed but we never thought there was someone killed.
Ziatko Nestorovic of Toronto is charges with first-degree murder.
