NEW DELHI: Prasanna Bhai Karunashankar Dave, a senior administrator, was on May 1 appointed the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, in place of Markandey Singh.
Dave 69, belonging to the 1947 batch of Central Indias Madhya Pradesh Cadre, held several administrative and diplomatic assignments.
A president house communiqué said the president; R. Venkataraman had accepted the resignation of Markandey Singh as the L. Governor and appointed Dave in his place. Singh had sent in his resignation on April 26.
