Dalits or the Black “Untouchables” of India are the worst persecuted people on this entire planet earth. A total of over 250 million Dalits are undergoing all if of “subhuman” in India by the divine orders of the Brahminical Hindu religious teachings and practices V.T. Rajshekar, a senior journalist having worked for a leading Indian newspaper Indian Express for over 25 Years, decided to devote his life and his journalistic expertise to the cancer of the Untouchables, He started an English bimonthly journal, DALTR VOICE. in 1982, and it has now a nationwide and an international readership. Dalit Voice is India’s largest and fearless English journal fighting for the cause of the human rights of over 250 million Untouchables and other persecuted minorities.

Since Untouchables and untouchability are the matchless brainchild of India’s Brahminical Hindu religious barbarous caste system (sanctified racism), and the ruling upper castes are all members of this religion harvesting bountiful and limitless privileges al the cost of the voiceless Untouchables land other persecuted minorities, anyone fighting for the cause of these innocent and illiterate victims are essentially branded as “antinational “. The upper castes fake every precaution to make sure that the International community is not allowed to know the details of this evil caste system and the practice of untouchability which are glorified by their Brahminical Hindu religion They want to maintain the status quo”, keeping the Untouchables and the low castes as their obedient slaves forever. If anyone ever even slightly disturbs this evil system, the ruling upper castes will hunt them and permanently silence them.

V.T Rajshekar has done nothing more than writing and speaking about the inhuman sufferings of the Untouchables and its root causes. His writings and speeches are directed always towards the sufferers to awaken them from) the misery by teaching them their rights and duties and telling them the reasons for their permanent suffering, Obviously, Rajshekar’s pen is mightier than the Brahminical sword, and therefore could not silence him. The only easy option for them is to prevent him from travelling outside India, and so the Government of India revoked his passport, and even with repeated appeals, no action has so far been taken even after about 10 years.

The details of this tragic episode in the “largest working democracy in the world that is India” are: V.T.Rajshekar’s passport No. p 219747 dated May 31 1980 was issued at Bangalore, India.

Subsequently, his PP was revoked through Chief Passport Officer’s (Government of India) letter No, 26/ 585/ POL/85 dated August 29, 1986, Mr. Rajshekar’s passport was revoked. ‘The reason stated was: “It has now been brought to our notice. that you have been indulging in activities such as writing inflammatory articles in Dalit Voice, speaking in public not only in India but also abroad in a manner which promote disharmony among the various sections of the population and affecting the sovereignty and integrity of the nation (It simply implies that harmony will prevail if the Untouchables remain as Untouchables without making, any ‘complaints what so ever).

Appeal to Supreme Court: Rajshekar made an appeal to the nation’s Supreme Court (writ petition No. 1497 of 1987), and the Court in tum directed the passport authorities on August 30, 1988 to serve a fresh show cause notice to Rajshekar. But, to date, neither a new show cause notice was served nor a new passport was issued to Rajshekar, even after his appeal dated on September 27, 1986 and a fresh application for anew passport dated June9, 1993 and again ‘on March 11. 1994. The reasons given by the passport authorities in revoking the passports are extremely general, vague, ambiguous, irrelevant and extraneous without giving any specific incidents, and the revocation was illegal and the denial of the fundamental right of freedom of movement of every citizen. No opportunity was given to Rajshekar to defend his side before revoking his passport which is contrary to the basic cannons of justice, and the right for a fair hearing and appeal which is to be rendered 10 every citizen of a democratic county. No right to criticize: Criticizing an unequal social system, in which 250 million Untouchables are the worst and permanent victims, does not and should not amount to questioning the sovereignty or the integrity of India. Rather such constructive criticism strengthens the country’s future, because no country will sustain forever with such evil religious sanctions perpetuating discrimination, segregation, exploitation, oppression, torture, tyranny, genocide, and treating human ‘beings worse than beasts.

Questioning not permitted: No social movement is possible in India without breaking down this unique, unjust and poisonous social and religious practice of the evil caste system and untouchability. The upper castes are happy as long as their evil system is intact and the Untouchables are their willing slaves. If anyone, as Rajshekar, speaks out against this barbarous system, then he or she becomes an antinational creating disharmony in the country, because they are trying 10 emancipate the persecuted.

All the writings and speeches of Rajshekar are made in the interest of protecting the country as a whole and with the guidance laid down by our leader and Saviour, the great social emancipator, Dr.B.R. Ambedkar, who is the architect of the Constitution of India. These same upper caste rulers of India also refused to grant visa to Kenneth Griffith, a distinguished actor and a filmmaker from United Kingdom, to go to India to make a motion Dr.B.R. Ambedkar the man who gave the country’s Constitution and was born an Untouchable) and untouchability in 1989. But these same rulers, however, lavishly spent the poor Indian tax payers money to make movies on Gandhi and Nehru, but refused someone else to take a movie on Dr. Ambedkar, even on their own funds, IL is because the upper caste rulers do not want the world to know anything about their evil religious caste system and untouchability. But unfortunately, the world refused to see, hear or speak about this unique conspiracy of bigotry, and the lives of 250 million innocent victims who are living in a hellhole in India for over, 3,500 years. It is for the same design and intent that Rajshekaris denied his basic fundamental right, possessing a passport. ‘The upper caste rulers want to shut Rajshekar’s mouth in speaking out the truth about the brahminical Hindu religion and its tyrannical teachings and practices. But, can the world afford to ignore this basic violation of a citizen’s fundamental right to free travel, particularly one who can stand up on behalf of the 250 million Untouchables and the other persecuted minorities?” The world community and in particular the United States of America must put pressure on the Government of India to grant his passport forthwith to V.T. Rajshekar,
