Dear Editor: The Dalits constitute major portion of the Indian population whereas the Brahmins comprise only about 15% of the population. After all, the Dalits have learnt the kniving moves of the Brahmins who consider themselves the Kings of India. There we. Reasons which separated them i nently from Brahmins.
- The Congress imposed father of the nation i.e., Gandhi was rejected by Dalits because he gave them the name of ‘Harijan’ and he did not believe in the dogma of “All men are equal”
- Hindu God Rama cut off the head of a Sudra (Ref: Senait, p100).
The Dalits have probably rejected the afflation with Hinduism, Election victory is the first boon of such separation and Dalits should respect the individual human rights and give more rights to states. Decentralization is the only way to accomplish such a goal. The Sikhs are expected’ support such moves.
