Faipur: Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama has said that China would meet the same fate as the erstwhile Soviet Union in the coming five to ten years.
Speaking to reporters at Bilaspur Town in the state of Madhya Pradesh he said that human rights were being suppressed in China but that democratic forces were growing in the country.
“The Dalai Lama was on his way to Mainpat in the Surguja district where Tibetan refugees have been rehabilitated. He said that Buddhism was in danger in China but was flourishing in India. India and China are countries with big populations and good relations between the two are essential for world peace. He has been living in India for the last several years and regards himself as Indian.
