NEW DELHI: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama demanded establishment of a Nuclear Free zone in Tibet saying it would be beneficial to both India and China.
Inaugurating the two day Indo Tibetan Friendship Conference here Dalai Lama said the process Of detente and peace had begun with the end of the cold war and. the demand for a Nuclear Free zone in this part of the world was only a corollary to this process.
The conference presided over by Janata Dal leader George Fernandes and attended by former parliament speaker Rabi Ray and prominent religious and political leader resolved to work towards the freedom of Tibet.
