SACRAMENTO: The children of Sunday school of Gurdwara Shaib Sacramento enthralled the audience with their excellent presentation of cultural programme on April 22nd at West Acres Road Sacramento. The hall was packed beyond capacity.
The program started with National Anthem Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Jha and introduction of the guests, The program was interspersed with shabads so as not to loose the religious touch.
The girls gidda was marvelous and boys bhangra superb. These two items reminded the audience of a colorful night of Punjab. A couple’s dance by parents of the children was very enjoyable. It will be repeated at Oakland.
A skit by Satwant Bagga on problems of integeration of Westem and Eastern Culture was simply beautiful. It was thought provoking presentation of the problem at the homes. A humorous poem by Jagjit Singh Rye and folk songs by Paul and Chinnda were other items which aroused audience reactions.
The whole program was beautifully conducted by master of ceremonies Bakhshish Singh Banwait. Snacks were served by Khalsa Fabrics Plus. The Vaisakhi night ‘was a memorable night.
