BHATINDA; The three day state level conference of the Punjab CPI(M), which concluded here on Saturday, unanimously adopted resolution hat Chandigarh be handed over to Punjab without delay and Haryana duly compensated to build is capital .The conference, presided by CPM. Politburo member Harkishan Singh Surjeet demanded that the river waters dispute should be referred to the Supreme Court and commission be appointed to settle the linguistic of states. It also demanded Punishment to abettors of the 1984 riots and more powers for states.
The conference by another resolution said hat strong administrative measures be taken to stop the date orang law and order situation and to curb secessionist activities in Punjab. It called for propagation of patriotism through the media.
