CHICKMAGALUR: The mortal remains of the CPI leader, V.K. Sundaresh, who died in the Udyan Express accident, were consigned to flames in his native village. Bakkadi in Mudigere taluk in Karnataka Minister of State for Agricultural Marketing, B.B. Ningaish, had earlier placed a wreath on the body. The town observed a peaceful bandh as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
