CHANDIGARH: Punjab Communist leader Satya Pal Dang has Requested the Punjab and Haryana high court to take Suo Moto notice of news reports that a big haul of black money belonging to governor Surinder Nath had been detected from the residence of the former governor at Chandigarh.
Nath along with members of his family died two months ago in an air crash in Himachal Pradesh. Media reports indicated that money and gold in large quantity had been seized from his residence by the government authorities but no authentic news was being made available to the public.
Dang who has a pro police and pro establishment image in a Statement opposed the formation of a trust with the money detected from the governor’s residence.
No count has so far taken notice of Dang’s suggestion.
