JALANDHAR: Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta and Bhai Amarjit Singh Chawla on behalf of All India Sikh Students Federation alleged that one of their organization’s activists Bhai Jugraj Singh was killed by the Baba Bakala police by thrusting a cyanide capsule into his mouth. The student leaders said that the police had become desperate after the success of a public function held by the AISSF at Anandpur Saheb at the Hola Mohala occasion. There was no criminal case against Bhai Jugtaj Singh. The federation leaders said that the killing of Bhai Jugraj Singh showed a new pattern of police atrocities in Punjab whereby the youths are made to eat cyanide capsules and are shown to have committed suicide.
