NEW DELHI: Indian policemen molested 20 Tibetan girls when they were being taken away from near the Chinese embassy to Chankyapn Police station on December 15.
‘A large number of Tibetans were arrested by Indian police to prevent them from organizing protest demonstrations on the eve of Chinese Prime Minister Li Peng’s visit to Delhi. George Fernanda’s, a member of Indian Parliament, moved a writ petition seeking the Supreme Court’s intervention to get the arrested Tibetans freed.
