CHANDIGARH :The Crime and intelligence Branch of the Punjab Police has indicted the Ludhiana police for falsely implicating a colonizer, Kuldeep Singh Ghai, in a rape case in May following his refusal to oblige” the police officials posted there, to part with a $00 square yard plot worth Rs 25 Lakh.
According to highly placed sources the report has held Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amarjit Singh, considered close to former Ludhiana SSP Subodh Singh Saini, and Station House Officer (SHO) Shamsher Singh Guddu responsible for fabricating the story, touring Ghai during the police remand and maneuvering lady of “easy virtue” to lodge a rape charge.
