By Our Correspondent CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister and Opposition stalwart, Devi Lal said a Rs 50 crore conspiracy was being hatched by Rajiv Gandhi and his minions to topple his elected government.

He told a crowded press conference that former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, the recently appointed special assistant to the Prime Minister R.K. Dhawan and the Bombay based industrialists Nirubbai Ambani, had recently met to discuss ways in which his government could be toppled.
Bhajan Lal who is now the Union Minister of Agriculture had created infamous legislative history when he along had deflected with his entire cabinet to Indira Gandhi’s Congress I party from opposition Janata Party following her parliamentary victory after the fall of the Janata Party.
Allurement’s had been offered to members of the Haryana Legislative Assembly to deflect, Devi Lal said.
He said at least 10 Janata Dal and Bharitya Janata Party MLA’s had been approached by the Congress I ministers and offered money to deflect. 86 Out Of 90 Members
The Devi Lal government has 86 members in the ninety member legislature. It will complete its two years in office next month.
Devi Lal told newsmen that he could play the Congress I game.” If they try to buy MLA’s I will seek fresh elections,” he said.
He referred to Karantaka where an elected government was recently dismissed by ‘the Governor and said Gandhi’s design would not succeed in Haryana.
