CHANDIGARH, India; The Congress (I) dissidents have decided to initiate steps for organizing themselves into an in dependent party. A national level meeting under the banner of All India Congress (I) Workers Convention is to be held sometime in September or October in Delhi, Former Union Minister, Mr. Par nab Mukharjee told newsmen in Delhi that Mr. Rajiv Gandhi had deviated from the economic and political polices of Indira Gandhi. On the political front the Prime Minister has conceded the demands of separatist elements, and concessions have been given under the pressure in Assam and Punjab. ‘The massive mandate given by the people in 1984 was given by the people for dealing firmly with the forces of disintegration; the policy of appeasement has led to the demands of Gorkhaland.

Workers will decide on who enjoy the confidence. Mr. Mukh the convener of the steering

Committee appointed to coordinate the efforts of likeminded persons in different parts of the country. Mr. R. Gundu Rao is the joint convener of the committee. The other members of the committee are: Mr. A.P. Sharma, Bihar; Mr. Parkash Mehotra, U.P.Mr. Maha patra, Orissa; Mr. S.M. Khan, Kanataka; Mr. Vikram Mahajan, Himachal Pradesh; Mr. Ashok  Bhattacharya, Tirupura; Mr. T.K. Ghosh, West Bengal.

According to the present program, a state level youth convention will be held in Calcutta on August 13. And two more will be held in Kanataka and Bangalore on August 22. After a few more state level conventions, the national level convention will be held at Delhi.
