Sir,

Firstly we must congratulate you for having published consistly a sophisticated newspaper mainly expressing the Sikh viewpoint. I was present last week at a meeting of the Punjab Research Group and it was interesting to note that whilst they were discussing the publications of Punjabi paper in North America your paper was praised as an example of sophisticated and professional journalism among Sikhs.

I’m enclosing two statements recently issued by the Panthic Committee from the Akal Takhat Sahib. From these statements I was pleased to note that Sikhs are now beginning to view their liberation struggle not in isolation from the other peoples of South Asia. Sikhs are beginning to realize now that their struggle is not so much against Hindus, but against the Bania Brahmin imperial government based in Delhi. A.S. Kher Sikh Information Centre “London, UK.
